FAQ
What counts as an AI generation?
One request to Archway’s AI: generating a diagram from a description, an AI edit, turning an image into a diagram, or each view of a multi-view generation. If a generation fails, it is given back. Building an ERD from a schema file uses no AI and costs nothing.
Do unused AI generations roll over?
No. The Free plan’s generations reset every 30 days, and paid plans’ at each renewal. Bonus generations from inviting friends (10 per friend) are different: they never expire, and are used only after your monthly allowance runs out.
How is the Team plan billed?
Team and Team Pro are billed per user: $35 or $40 a month for each seat, and your seats are your collaborators plus you, the owner. Every member gets their own 200 or 300 AI generations a month.
What happens when I upgrade or downgrade?
Upgrades apply right away: you pay the price difference for the rest of the billing period, pro rata, and get the extra AI generations in proportion to the time left. Downgrades apply at the end of the billing period, and nothing is charged or refunded for the switch.
